My name is Andrew O’Dell, I was born in Northampton, a little town in England, but lived, studied and worked in London for 5 and a half years. I currently live in Longerich, Köln and have most recently completed the ‚Integration Kurs‘ with the VHS.
I currently have a DTZ B1 in German and speak, read and write at a B1 level. I believe that I would be able to bring to any company a different thought process and a creative output regardless of job titles or requirements. I bring enthusiasm, desire and belief, working within a team or individually I can excel under pressure and thrive within a creative environment. I am looking to move forward with my career and establish myself as a key and integral part of creative industry.
My vast experience and creative background allow me to be a valuable member of any team whilst my ‚can do‘ attitude allows me to push forward past any social or experience barriers to get the best results for my team and the project I am working on. I am passionate about working within the creative industry and I am not afraid to see my own flaws and see how to change and challenge myself but also the companies I work for.
During my time in London I successfully graduated my Bachelor and Masters degree in Photography at Middlesex University. I worked as Junior Project Manger for an experiential photography agency company called ‚Just Pose‘, Digital Content Coordinator at ‚Lumiere London‘ and Student Learning Assistant at Middlesex University and other schools.
I exhibited in many top shows including the New Blood Awards by D&AD and was selected as one of the Top 20 Graduated 2015 by a print and online Magazine called Creative Review. During this time I have been able to gain experience in various fields:
Project Management experience including the use of the following software: Current RMS, Front, When I Work, Pixieset and Taskworld
Office administration experience including handling finance and the booking of photographers, videographers, actors and locations
Studio production experience including assisting fashion and e-commerce photographers and clients
Digital content management experience including the handling of social media channels and content creation
Retouching experience in the fashion and e-commerce sector
Comprehensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite – proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Bridge, Dreamweaver and InDesign
Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
An array of contacts including photographers, cinematographers, script writers, editors
Extensive knowledge of Photography and Media – particular expertise in Photography
