Anna Pascher
Künstlerin
Anna Pascher is a Düsseldorf-based artist and mother of two sons. Her mostly two-or threetone abstract works include paintings, drawings, and collages, while her subjects range from portraits to still lifes to lavishly set tables and crowded interiors. Before dedicating herself to two- and three-dimensional visual work, the artist studied design in Düsseldorf and ran her own successful fashion company for over 10 years in Berlin before finally turning to her true passion, art.
Anna Pascher describes her work as ‚involuntary‘.
‘‘My intuition is my inspiration and at the same time my intention. I try to capture the complexity of portraits or still lifes in lines without overthinking their form. Sometimes I just imagine a large room with white walls and let the lines express themselves as I watch the picture emerge.‚’
Most of her Fauvist-inspired images are created in one go and leave no room for rethinking.
‘‘My work is an expression of my thoughts and feelings that is as unconscious as possible. The less planned and calculated – the better. I try to communicate previously seen loose studies, memories and dreams through my hand.‘’
