Devadeep Gupta

Most of my artistic practices come into play with an exploration of paradoxes, reflecting the hypocrisy and criticism of our society in our everyday lives. The themes of my works are expressed by mediums of installations, photography, and video, with equal emphasis on context and aesthetic form. The realization of my actions tries to mirror the current situations of social aspects ignored, overlooked or oppressed by various reasons. I hold my belief towards art being a personal and pure representation of thoughts and feelings that can contrast and try to balance the prevailing inequality and I wish to continue my works playing along with irony and contrast.
