Dora Tomic is an contemporary composer, sound designer specialized in Ambisonics and Binaural VR sound production. Born in 1990 in Croatia, based in Cologne, Germany.
In 2012 completed undergraduate studies (B.A.) at the Art Academy in Osijek, Department of Fine Art and in 2015 graduate studies (M.A.), sub-department of Multimedia/Sound production at the Art Academy in Osijek, Croatia.
She received the Dean’s award for successful work during the academic year 2012/2013 on the Art Academy, Osijek, Croatia and Award for the best Multimedia work.
In 2017 studied at Emerson College, VMA in Boston, Massachusetts where she attended the classes of contemporary music production and Ambisonics/Binaural Audio as a guest student. In 2019 completed postgraduate studies at Academy of Media Arts Cologne, in the field of Electroacoustic composition and Ambisonics technology (VR sound production).
