Ramon Ruiz Sampaio

Ramon Ruiz Sampaio is a documentary photographer and videographer with over 15 years of experience capturing compelling narratives across photojournalism, advertising, and cinema. His work is driven by a deep commitment to telling stories that resonate emotionally and reveal the truth behind the image.
Trained at the Escuela Activa de Fotografía in Mexico and the International Center of Photography in New York, Ramon has developed a versatile skill set spanning photography, video production, editing, and color correction. He is the founder and director of OME Productora, producing visual projects for national and international clients, and a member of Unframe Photo Agency. He also directed, produced, and filmed his first feature documentary, further expanding his storytelling into video.
Ramon’s career includes numerous solo exhibitions and recognition from prestigious institutions, including the Rita K. Hillman Award for Excellence in Photojournalism, the Pingyao International Photography Festival, and the PRISMA Human Rights Photo Contest. His work has been showcased in cultural institutions, universities, and public spaces, reflecting his passion for visual storytelling as a tool for social impact.
