First launched in 2008, THE Football App (in German speaking countries known as iLiga) is the most popular football news and fan service worldwide available for smartphones, tablets, desktops and connected TV. Our platform features live ticker, news, video content and statistics for more than 100 leagues worldwide in nine languages. Having recently celebrated reaching 13 million downloads across all platforms we are driven by the vision to build THE global social network for football by informing, connecting and engaging fans around the world around their passion for football. With the newly added Fan Zone we aim to give our users a voice and turn THE Football App into a stadium for football fans – whether it is about the live ticker on a match day or the latest transfer rumours. Live commentaries from sources such as Twitter, comments from top football journalists and bloggers are collated alongside user comments to offer an up-to-the minute pulse check of the global conversation taking place. Because for us, it’s not a game, it’s football.
