My name is Artur Rabinski. I am an ambitious, Polish born go-getter who moved to the UK in 2007. Since then I came a long way along which I learned the English language comparably to a native speaker, graduated with a first class honours degree, developed my career in the sector of education and worked as a freelance in creative industries. I recently moved to Berlin and I am currently seeking various work opportunities, preferably in the sector of creative industries, photography and film.
I graduated a practical filmmaking course from Manchester School of Art in 2014 and I have been working in creative industries since. During my time at university I developed my creative skills as a filmmaker and photographer. While being a student I excelled in the field of factual content directing, camera work and editing. Consequently my films were chosen to be screened at various film festivals and exhibitions in the UK and internationally. Some of them include: British Film Institute Flare 28th London Film Festival, Lisbon and Estoril Film Festival 2014, Berlin Lichtspielklub Short Film Festival 2015 and Manchester History Museum.
While being a student I worked as a photographer and assistant manager for an event photography company „Night Capture Manchester“.
After I graduated I got offered a position of a BA Filmmaking teaching assistant. While fulfilling this role I developed important skills such as lecturing, presentation, problem solving, dealing with sensitive matters, organisation and administration and IT skills. I was a first point of call to students, academic and administration staff as well as external bodies. I was also responsible for management of the online presence of the course via various social media platforms such as Vimeo, Twitter and Facebook and online university system Moodle.
Having lived in several countries I am extremely open-minded and aware of the importance of equality and diversity. My international mind-set led to my participation in a voluntary development programme with Raleigh International/ICS UK in South-East India in 2013. While doing the programme I created a collection of photographic portraits, which were later exhibited in various cultural venues and institutions around Manchester.
I speak English (comparably to native), Polish (native) and German (recently completed an intensive A2 German course here in Berlin).
