The philosophy of our Brand, KAMAELEON, is to create customized handmade shoes.
Customizing means the need for change, personalization; tearing up what’s original to make something better to see something come alive with its own personality.
There’s no real reason to make shoes, the problem comes and you just look for the solutions… when the problem enters your mind it drives you crazy and needs to be solved!
Around the mid 800s shoes named “CAMALEONTE” were born, and those were characterized by visible colors and interchangeable accessories, true Mutants.
It is not by chance that those who lived around the late 800s knew anything about it. They believed that shoes, particularly those with heels, would cause mental insanity.
After all when the shoes are fully grounded they are furthest from the logic of the mind.
Our motto is: “hand made”.
The “hand made” work of our Team is truely important to us because it gives our collections an added value, synonymous of exclusivity with a new vision and quality that’s different in attiude to that of the current trends in shoes.
The project is nothing, the planning is everything.
Kamaeleon is a Berlin born company created in 2009 by Giorgia Iacobellis, an italian shoe designer who worked for Bally and Moschino.
After many years of experience in the italian shoe-business, the designer decided to move from Milan to Berlin to start her own “mutant” Label called “Kamaeleon”.
The Kamaeleon project is focused on shoes for both men and women and the underground public. The idea is to give the market the possibility to have two different kinds of clients with a unisex product.
The success of Kamaeleon is founded on the creation of enduring relationships within our costumers and the importance of maintaining quality products and solid partnerships with our clients.
The Label is composed of a new, dynamic, specialized young team who is careful to satisfy the rock taste and style yet also providing a fresh and current product with competitive prices.
This is not just a Label but also a “Mutant” which fits accordingly to the market needs.
By this, KAMAELEON discovered that only in the emptiness can you find true colour.
