Hi there,
my name is Margherita Baldi and I’m a Graphic Designer currently based in Berlin. My last job was as a Junior Graphic Designer for Offline Marketing in the Print Production team at Zalando. I’m looking for a job which allows me to work on different projects and concepts, where I can use my skills to create designs with a marketing and communication strategy behind them. I’d love to focus on print, typography and editorial designs. My passion are underground music, fashion and food, it could be great to combine one of this passion to design!
As for my personal history, I have a Bachelor Degree in Fashion, Marketing and Communication at Polimoda, in Florence (IT). The main projects were based on business-case simulations, creation and development of marketing and communication strategies for brands, from the concept to the final design.
After graduating I moved to Berlin and started my work experience at Zalando.
My first position was Online Marketing Graphic Designer Intern in the Display Graphic team. My main task was designing static and animated banners and adapting them for desktop and mobile, as well as for target, country and user experience.
Successively I moved to the Print Production department, where I worked as Junior Graphic Designer for OFM. There I have strengthened my knowledge in visual design and composition, typography, and colour theory. I have also gained extensive experience concerning printing processes, colour profiles and the design and technical requirements that an offline final artwork needs.
I have also been doing freelance projects, e.g. I worked on the concept development of a brand new music label, taking care of the art direction and branding, followed by the production of the design and final artwork for a vinyl records series.
