Chipperfield, 2023 laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, is particularly known for his internationally acclaimed cultural projects. His first building in Latin America, the Museo Jumex sits alongside other landmark museums designed by the practice which include the masterplan for the Royal Academy in London; the redevelopment of the Neues Museum in Berlin, the extension of Kunsthaus Zürich, the Rockbund Art Museum in Shanghai, and the forthcoming extension of the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, each building exhibiting a distinct approach to its site and context.
