I am looking for an opportunity to grow and build on my current skills in graphic design. I am passionate about everything art & design. I have been working in the graphic design industry for over 7 years & have gained thorough experience in all areas of design from conception to finished art. I have completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Graphic Design at the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2008.
At Brisbane Marketing I assisted in the development and execution of marketing collateral for Brisbane Marketing and it’s respective business units (CBD Retail, Convention Bureau, Study, Film, Investment Attraction, Leisure Tourism and Major Events) including campaigns and corporate needs. I have lead multiple campaigns and publications from concept to finished artwork. The latest campaign for Give me Brisbane Any Day was partnered with Wotif and TripAdvisor which I developed all creative for all print based executions such as press ads, truck poster and interactive billboards. The mid-campaign results were already triple our KPI for the whole campaign. I have also had experience in delivering video executions where tight deadlines has meant there is no room for a new execution due to an incorrect date or branding element.
As the Graphic Designer at ANZCRO for 2 years, I had been solely responsible for creating all artwork required by the company. I had produced over 7 major brochures – The New Zealand Book 2013−14, The Australia Book 2013−2014, Ski Express 2014, ANZCRO Winter Magic and more. These publications are content heavy and have many hotel and sightseeing listings which required approvals and changes. The publications benefited from InDesign settings such as creating master pages, character and paragraph styles for efficiency. I was also responsible for designing promotional flyers, presentations and web graphics for our Australian, New Zealand & UK offices.
From January 2011 till February 2012, I had been working at dtb! Advertising on the Sunshine Coast. I focused on developing my skills in print design. Designing press ads & publications from concept to finished art for their clients, such as projects for your organisation – Gold Coast Tourism and also other tourism bodies such as Tourism Noosa, Sunshine Coast Destination & Sunshine Coast Council. My managers regarded me as the leader in finished artwork and I gained experience in mentoring junior designers.
My time management skills have been developed over my career and due to having
experience in both an advertising agencies and now as an in-house designer my ability to remain calm, professional and get the job done has become a great strength. I gain much satisfaction in accomplishing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
In summary, I have gained extensive experience in the following areas:
- Working on a Mac with Adobe CC – InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat & Premiere Pro
- Design of press ads, publications, signage and other collateral adhering to style guides
- Film editing and exporting for different mediums (social media, JCDecaux advertising)
- Liasing with printers and photographers
- Maintaining image library and design file structures
- On screen presentations/interactive pdfs
- Producing finished artwork including submitting ads through AdSend & QuickCut
