With The Makers, the food industry finally goes digital.
The food industry is one of the biggest in the world, yet one of the least digitalised, and one of the greatest contributors to the climate crisis. To meet the demands of the future and to combat the negative trends in today’s food system, there needs to be significant advancements, and we’ve taken it into our own hands.
We’ve digitised the food development process. Our all-in-one platform makes it easy to launch better products, whether it’s choosing from our ready-to-go range of plant-based options, or creating bespoke products with us. In a few easy steps you can go from recipe to final product with transparent access to sustainability reporting, live timeline updates and all project information in one central location.
We also develop our own ranges of purpose-led brands, so that change can start with us. Just take a look at our super kids’ food brand Mia & Ben.
The technical framework and scientific evidence for The Makers is provided by the collaborative research project OptiSignFood – a European Horizon 2020 project funded by the European Commission*, with the objective to implement a data science and AI assisted software tool to digitally design optimised, high-quality and safe food products with minor environmental impact.
