VlyFoods is a Berlin-based, FoodTech startup that develops and markets plant protein food products. Protein is an essential part of the human diet, but there is a need to radically change the sources of it – with improved health for humans and less harm done to the planet and the animals. Our mission is to apply latest scientific advances to plant protein food development to disrupt the dairy industry in Europe.
After a 2-years long research, we’ve developed vly milk – the healthiest milk alternative – in a lab at the Technical University in Berlin. Only after 12 months after launching, our vly milk alternative can be found in over 10.000 of stores in Germany!
VlyFoods was founded by two Oxford alums and a former two Michelin starred chef. Nicolas Hartmann, a passionate vegan, nutritionist for pro athletes and member of the German National Academic Foundation together with Niklas Katter, a former McKinsey & Company manager, and Moritz Braunwarth, a studied food technologist and former fine dining chef, started VlyFoods with a mission to change the broken dairy industry.
