I completed my Ph.D. in Film Studies at the University of St Andrews (Scotland) in 2011. I have studied at postgraduate levels in film studies and linguistics, in France and in Scotland, and have been a teaching assistant in film studies and second-language Mandarin Chinese for three years. During my Ph.D. studies I have organised a film festival and two conferences, edited newsletter, and worked as editing assistant for two book editions, as well as having won Innovation Awards for two projects. In addition, I have worked at the international guest centre of Edinburgh festivals and as an interpreter for the Chinese filmmaker Wang Bing at Edinburgh Film Festival.
I speak Chinese (mother tongue), English (C2 level), French (C1 level), German (C1 level) and Greek (A2 level).
